Renovation Insights

Guidance and ideas to help you plan your next home improvement or home renovation project.

1.
Initial Consultation

We begin by meeting with you at your home or project location to fully understand your goals. During this consultation, we’ll help identify details you may not have considered, assist with decision making and take initial measurements of the project space. We’ll also connect you with our trusted design partners, who will assist in developing detailed project plans.

2.
Planning

Our design team will collaborate with you to finalize the project plans. The goal is to establish a clear and detailed floor plan, which will serve as the foundation for pricing out labor costs.

3.
Pricing

We use a two-part pricing system to give you greater control over your budget:

Labor Costs: First, we provide a detailed breakdown of labor costs for your review and approval. Labor costs are typically more static, giving you a clear understanding of this portion of your budget.

Material Selections: Once labor costs are approved, we assist you in making final material selections. Since material costs can vary widely, this approach allows you to allocate your remaining budget more effectively.

4.
Final Review & Agreement

Before moving forward, we send the finalized plans and selections to our trade teams for a thorough review to ensure no detail is overlooked. You’ll also receive a projected schedule timeline for your approval. Once everything is reviewed and agreed upon, we’ll:

Finalize and sign the project agreement.

 Collect the initial project deposit.

Create a client project file and a field binder containing all approved               documents. This binder is kept on-site to ensure everyone involved is             working from the same approved plans and selections.

5.
Execution

Once the planning phase is complete, we’ll begin ordering all necessary materials. As delivery ETAs are confirmed, we’ll create a detailed project schedule with calendar dates and send it to you for review. This allows you to provide input and request adjustments based on your personal schedule or events.
